أعلنت 16 مجموعة اغترابية لبنانية من مختلف بلدان الانتشار في بيان أنها دعت إلى اقتراح قانون موحّد لتثبيت حق المغتربين بالاقتراع في دوائرهم الأصلية، فتقدّم ٩ نواب باقتراح قانون يرمي إلى تعديل بعض مواد القانون المتعلّق بانتخاب أعضاء مجلس النواب
