In a time of complete darkness and deprivation in Lebanon, the Beirut Marathon has decided to Run for Hope. In spite of all the hardships and obstacles before us, we will act as a symbol of courage and prosperity for our fellow countrymen.
Yes we had to close our doors in 2019 due to political instability and the pandemic, however soon after the life-shattering blast, the Beirut Marathon couldn’t help but emerge again, stronger as ever.
Today, the association is bringing back its annual marathon which occurs every November. This year’s event will be held over two days at the Beirut Waterfront and will also be running as a virtual event for global participants. The Beirut Marathon’s efforts will pour into a fundraiser for eight Lebanese NGOs: @beitelbaraka @neonatefund @braveheartfund @lebaneseautismsociety @ccclebanon @teachachild @livelovebeirut @idraac_ngo
